Bleeding-heart Discoverer: Bourns and Worcester, 1894 Category: ENDANGERED Habitat/Distribution: Tawi-tawi's primary and secondary forests Habitat / Behavior: 11" in total length. Ground-feeder but roosts and nests on bushes or vines. The rarest of the bleeding-hearts and has not been sighted or collected since the early 1900s. Recent efforts to located this species on Tawi-Tawi by Desmond Allen have been unsuccessful.
