Habitat/Distribution: (2 rces): coelestis - Bohol, Leyte and Samar; sterii - Mindanao
Habitat / Behavior: L 8"; A juvenile was recorded in June but generally breeding is unknown.

Call is a loud series of 5 or more notes whirp whirp whirp whirp whirp lasting about 15 sec, with each series repeated every 4-5 sec  when actively calling (THF &RSK: P. Morris and N. Redman recordings)
