Streaked-breasted Bulbul Hypsipetes siquijorenesis

Habitat/Distribution: Common in remaining forests on Siquijor and Tablas (Kennedy et al., 2000): 3 races: cinereiceps Romblon and Tablas, montinola Cebu; siquijorensis Siquijor
Description / Behavior: length 10½ ". Seen in flocks and very conspicuous due to their noisy habits. Calls in Tablas varied, including strident whip-like "whit" in several phrases "whit pu whit tooer whit whee-er or pu-er whit pu-er whit"
Threats: Habitat Loss
Interesting Information: nearly extinct in Cebu (Kennedy et al, 2000)
