Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal softrays (total): 8-8; Anal spines:
3-3. Preserved color brownish yellow, dark above, paler below, belly yellowish;
all fins pale; a faint dark bar may be present on shoulder. 9-10 scales between
nape & dorsal. Lateral line strongly curved beneath the dorsal. Snout
narrow & blunt, equals an eye diameter or exceeds it by half. Max. size:
9.4 cm SL; 11.8 cm (female) |

Described from eight female specimens, 7.8 - 11.8, collected at the type
locality, Dansalan, Lake Lanao, Mindanao (1921, 1922) (Ref. 2929). Still
present in a 1982 survey (Ref. 12758). No specimen was caught during the
1994 expedition (Ref. 10888) |
