Palawan Hornbill Anthracoceros marchei
Common Names: Talusi (Palawan, Tagbanua)
Discoverer:  Oustalet, 1885
Category: ENDANGERED
Status: Endemic
Habitat/Distribution: Restricted to Balabac, Busuanga, Calauit and Palawan
Habitat / Behavior: Males - 28", females - 24"; Noisy, in forest and edge, traveling in small groups staying mostly within the canopy.

Voice: Trumpeting parrot-like calls in 1, 2 or 3 notes kuk kuk kak or kuk kak ka. Several birds may call in unison producing a brief echo after each note (THF &RSK: P. Morris recording)
Threats: Hunting and rampant deforestation
Interesting Information: The only hornbill in the Palawan group.
