| Common Names: Bayakan
Category: RARE Habitat/Distribution: Philippines Description / Behavior: Members of this genus usually roost in hollow trees, caves, and buildings. Some species are gregarious; others associate in small family groups or at times may be alone. The nose leaf and ears often twitch while these bats are hanging. Some species hibernate.
These bats fly lower than most bats and catch insects such as beetles, termites,
and cockroaches; cicadas apparently form an important food source for some
