Greetings!

We have been selected as one of the nominees for the 4th Philippine Web Awards under "Organizations". You can start voting on October 1, 2001 for the People's Choice Awards.

Sorry guys I have been absent for the last couple of months I have been getting ready for my art exhibit, also researching for the website and celebrating my birthday. Updating is going on for the amphibian and reptile pages - thanks to our resident herpetologists Arvin Diesmos and Rafe Brown. The Plant Area will have to be put on hold until I can find a more receptive botanist (talked to Dr. Madulid from the Philippine National Herbarium and he thinks that I should NOT itemize or list any of the plants/trees in the site because it's a job for a botanist ergo non-botanists don't belong in the plant world). Hehehe.. nevermind I shall eventually finish that area. The list for the Important Bird Areas (IBA) came out you can see the listing at Haribon's website. The website also has an article on mangrove forests which is really interesting, also I urge you to check out the listing for Protected Areas on the PAWB website. JML Tan is coming out with a 3rd edition for his book "A Field Guide to Whales and Dolphins of the Philippines" which will be out soon - check at the Bookmark website for news about it.
