These bats fly lower than most bats and catch insects such as beetles, termites, and cockroaches; cicadas apparently form an important food source for some species.

Interesting Information:Bats coming from the family Hipposideros are also known as "Old World Leaf-nosed Bats". Leaf-nosed because it's nose is shaped like a leaf.
