batua [Quezon], Baneas [Aeta Negritos] Habitat/Distribution: Forest-dwelling, occurs from sea-level to about 400 meters above sea-level. Locally common in the forests of the Bicol Peninsula, Luzon Island: Laguna (Siniloan, Paete-Pakil-Kalyaan), Quezon (Tanay), Manila, Albay (Mt. Mayon, Legazpi), Camarines Norte, Catanduanes. Habitat / Behavior: Threats: Habitat loss and hunting Interesting Information: Conservation Efforts/Measures: Considered one of the rarest lizards in the world.
