Discoverer: Tweeddale, 1878 Category: ENDANGERED Status: ENDEMIC Habitat/Distribution: Found in forests, forest edge, second growth below 1000 m in Negros, Panay. It can be sighted near Casa Roro near Dumaguete. Habitat / Behavior: L 5 1/4"; Prefers thick, dense undergrowth; found singly, in small groups often in mixed flocks.It has a powdery yellow bill, face and eyering, the crown and throat are black, temples long and orange. It has a black and olive collar or olive-grey streaked grey above, yellow below with black spots.
The call is a two-second phrase of cheerful, melodious, bouncy chu
