| Common Names:
Discoverer: Dobson, 1890 IUCN: VULNERABLE (but we recommend delisting) Distribution: Philippines only; widespread in Luzon and Mindoro faunal regions. Recorded from Catanduanes (USNM), Luzon (Aurora [UPD], Benguet [USNM], Camarines Sur [FMNH], Laguna [BMNH], Mountain [BMNH], and Rizal [AMNH] provinces), and Mindoro (MMNH). Also reported from Abra Province, Luzon (Lawrence, 1939). Habitat : Common in primary lowland, montane, and mossy forest from 250 to 2400 m, uncommon in secondary forest (Heaney et al., 1991, in press; Rickart et al., 1991).
