Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal softrays (total): 8-8; Anal spines:
3-3; Anal soft-rays: 5-5. Preserved color brownish yellow, darker dorsally;
snout & interorbital space darkest; all fins pale. Large head without
sensory folds. Broad, irregular snout with small epidermal nodules &
raised spots. Rim or lid of eyes very narrow & gelatinous. Lips broad
& thick; uninterrupted groove behind lower lip, continuous across chin
& around corner of mouth. 11 scales between nape & dorsal. Scales
rather large with concentric striae. |
